Malo E Lelei bloggers!
Yesterday Webber class did narrative writing while some of our classmates went to Kio Rahi. We had to go on our class site, term 1 learning task, week 5 and then we came upon this picture of a little girl name Isla and a dinosaur. There was a story that we had carry on in our own words. There was more pictures that had a sentence challenge, sentence starters, word bank, punctuation challenge along with question time where we had to answer 3 questions that were asked about the story of the dinosaur. Here is my story below!!
Story time:
On her island holiday, Isla stumbled upon a creature like no other. Its scales glistened in the sun as it lazily opened one eye to look at her. Without fear, Isla reached out and the giant lizard blinked slowly in response, accepting her touch. It was a dinosaur, but to Isla, it simply felt like a new friend. Despite its sharp teeth and towering size, she felt a strange sense of comfort. As the dinosaur stared in her eyes Isla got up and walked away. A few minutes later Isla saw the dinosaur again, just creeping up to her as she was picking up sticks, the dinosaur began to lick her as if it was a dog. Isla put her hand on top of the dinosaurs head. She then looked around to see if the dinosaur had any family members. Isla was fearless of the big creature. Isla looked deeply into the dinosaur’s eyes she stumbled upon his big sharp teeth and his little red tongue. She started to realise her parents were calling her, Isla knew no one was going to believe her, she got up and pet the dinosaur whispering “Bye” with a smile. The dinosaur then licked Isla’s hand and “ROARED”. He stayed in the same place and watched Isla walk out of the forest sad she was leaving. The end!
Thank you for your time and Happy new year!
