On Wedensday 24th the seniours, year 5 and 6 from HayPark school went to the Corban Art Center for a trip we made a Maori bird we use pastles and dryed up clay inside a oyster shell to make the bird we got given a big black sheet of paper to draw it on with a white pastle to outline our bird we were going to draw.
And if we didn’t know what bird we could have made one up or we could have copied a bird from the pictures of some Maori birds up on the wall I did a bird on the wall.
Before we started outlining the bird Wheae Molly and Wheae penny where showing us how to use the white pastle we were going to use for outlining the bird after she showed us we got straight into it!
After like 15 minutes Wheae Molly called all of us down to the mat and showed us the next part but the people that were still outlining had 10 more minutes to finish because they were not done.
What Wheae Molly showed us was the part we had to colour in the bird with some coloured pastles she drawed a kiwi to show us how to use the pastles when she was done showing us we went back to the tables to finish off.
There were some coloured pastles on each table that Wheae Penny had put out on each table to use for there art Wheae Penny and Wheae Molly walked around the room to see all the arts we were doing and to see if anyone needed help!
After a while Wheae Molly called us down again for lunch time.
We had to go to the other room where our bags were with our food in it we got our bags and sat on the mats well we ate.
After a while we went back to the room that our art was in before we carryed on she gave us so tips on how to use the dryed up clay inside the pyster shell.
We went back to the table and saw a oyster shell with dryed up clay inside and some paint brushs to use for the clay.
Wheae Molly called us all down because it was the end we lined up by the door of the bathroom only 2 at a time were allowed to go inside the bathroom!
We were outside and the bus was going to take a while so room 8 went to explore the art musem!
20 minutes past and the bus was here but room 8 came back just in time because the bus came when they were done with there trip we all got into out lines and walked to the bus and got in and had to wait in the bus for a while because the teachers had to count all the students to make sure we don’t leave anyone behind after they were done with that off we went back to school!
