Creative Writing

Malo E Lelei,

This week Andrews Class had to do creative writing. We could do our writing about anything but we had to make sure it was a non-fiction story. We had to include a setting, a beginning, a middle, and a end. We also had to include characters. We made sure to include when, where, what, who, why, and how. I made sure I added a problem. I added punctuations, spelling, and good adjectives. My characters I used is Loiloi, Crystal, Renesmee, Blane, Sariyah, Layla and Khadeeja.

The hardest part was trying to think of what my story should be about.

The easiest part was writing the story.

The part I enjoyed most was thinking of what characters I should use.

Click here to see my story I made. I also made a plan. Have you ever done creative writing? Thank you for visiting my blog!

How to survive in water

Talofa Lava Bloggers!

I will be giving you all some solutions of how to survive in water. Even though I didn’t go swimming this year I still went swimming last year. If you really like swimming/surfing in the sea then you might want to read this :).

Doggy Paddle:

If you ever struggle with floating in deep water then you should try out Doggy Paddling. Doggy Paddle is easy and has small steps. All you have to do is put both hands in front of your chest, fold your legs and then start moving your hands back and forth not at the same time. If you would like me to put a video down below to demonstrate the steps on how to doggy paddle, There is a video if you scroll down 🙂

Life Jacket:

The reason why a Life Jacket was made was to save us from drowning. There are a range of different sizes for different body types. Life jackets are normally very bright colours that make you pop out! There is a very obvious reason why. Its because if you are ever stranded you will pop out more and it well be easier for someone to find you.

Slow Breaths:

When you are stranded in the Ocean you should take slow and steady breaths. It will you help you save your energy. Also when taking small breaths you will be more calm and relaxed.

Here is the video of how to Doggy Paddle 🙂

Cybersmart Searching

Malo Bloggers!

Today for Cybersmart we did Smart Searching again. We did Smart Searching once already last Tuesday.

Hardest part about doing the slide. Was doing the third slide. The third slide finding a website and making sure it had right information.

Easiest part about doing the slides. Was highlighting the key words in a sentence and making sure it had the right results.

Here are my slides.

Thanks for checking out my blog post 🙂

Do you know how to smart search?

Diwali

Malo E Lelei Bloggers!

Last week we were learning about Diwali!! One of my classmates (Krisha) told us a story about how Diwali was created. The story she told was about Rama and Sita. Here is a video explaining everything. Our teacher Mrs Patel made these slides that we could go on and watch videos about Diwali. There were different stories about Diwali and little kids explaining what Diwali is.

Cybersmart Searching!

Malo Bloggers!

Today for cybersmart we had to do smart searching. We had to watch a video and we had to search up different topics and words. Some of them were familiar, we had to screenshot our search results. Next we had to use either ticks, crosses, or question marks to answer if spelling and punctuation mattered. We had to do more questions. Next we had to highlight key words in some questions and use those keys words to answer the questions.

The hardest part was highlighting to key words.

The easiest part was doing the screenshots.

The part I enjoyed most was doing the screenshots.

Thank you for visiting my blog! Here is the google slide presentation we did our work on. Have a good day! Do you know what smart searching is?

Using Media

Talofa Bloggers!

Today for Cybersmart room nine got a choice of doing three activities. We had to watch a video tutorial before we started. The first activity we got to pick out of was to draw a minion, the second activity was to go on google drawings and draw a Mosaic art. The third activity was to do pixel art.

We did this activity so we could use media to create. This activity helped me learn how to draw a minion. Something that didn’t help me was colouring because colouring is not learning, and I knew this. Here is what I drew!

The part I struggled with was trying to slow the video down.

The part I mostly enjoyed was colouring the minion in.

Have you watched a minion movie?

Cooking with Miss P!

Malo Bloggers!

This term for cooking we made Peach & Apple Shortcake with Miss P. First we had to make sure our finger nails were clean and short. And then we had to pre-heat the oven. Next we put on our  apron. Then we got started. Cooking with Miss P was very fun.  The people that were in my group were Renesmee, Vienna and Blane we are all year fives from Hay Park School.

The most part I struggled with was trying to fix the blender.

The part I had the most fun with was trying out the cookie dough even though there was raw egg in it, it was to very yum!

Have you ever tried Peach & Apple short cake?

Here are some photos.

Article Temple (Cybersmart)

Bula Bloggers!

Today for Cybersmart we talked about advertisements. The first activity we got told to do was to watch a Film Festival film but from another school, then comment on them. Next we had to go on our class sites, go on Cybersmat and then go onto these Slides to our work. We watched a video of “Reading News On Line” then sorted out these things on a page. If you would like to see the slides we had to work on then look down below. Then we had to go on to Google Drawings and then do our own poster.

The most part I struggled with was sorting out the Slides.

The part I really liked was making my own poster.

Do you know what media stands for??

Here is my work on my Slides and my Poster!!

Hour of code Oceans!

Malo Bloggers!

Last week Andrews class did “Hour Of Code”. We played “AI for oceans” Every stage we had we would have to watch a video related to AI. We had to sort out what were sea creatures and what were rubbish. If we didn’t sort them out properly then we would have to train a bit more. Every different stage had their own challenges.

The hardest part I went through was trying to sort out 200 levels of all the information.

The most fun part was seeing the fishes.

Have you picked up rubbish from the sea?

Duffy Message!

Malo Bloggers,

Last week we got Duffy Books. The two books I got were Squished and Return to the isle of the lost. My favourite book is the Return to the isle of the lost. The book Squished is about a girl named Avery she wants her own bedroom and she tells her parents but they say no and then they have this assembly for the year fives. Avery and her friends Dani and Cameron. Dani was a girl and Cameron was a boy. Avery was embarrassed about her family interrupting her assembly. the rest you have to read to find out 🙂 I haven’t read the Isle of the lost so I don’t know what it’s about sadly 🙁  But a special thanks to Duffy Books for donating those two books to me.

Bye!
