❄ Hail storm ❄

Bula Bloggers,

The 31st of May. It was a rainy day in Auckland. HayPark school was working on their work until it started hailing!! After the hailing stopped teachers let students go out and play with the hail, it was like snow except it was ice. The hail was on the roof covering the courts and on the trees. Which made it look like snow. Vienna and I ran out to the courts barefoot, it felt like our feet were about to fall off because of how freezing cold the hail was, just so you know it was very very cold. Here are some pictures of the hail, enjoy!

Thank you very much 🙂

Nanogirl assembly

Malo E Lelei bloggers,

On the 30th of June Nanogirl came to Haypark school to show us some scientist experiments. Which included fire. The first experiment she performed was with a cloth dipped in this liquid and set on fire. Some students also had the chance to go on stage and participate with the experiments. It was really long and tiring but was also really cool and interesting. My favourite experiment Nanogirl performed was when she made the fire turn a different colour. Here is a photo of the assembly.

Thanks!

About the SUN

Hello bloggers,

Today Webber class learned about the Sun. Did you know the Sunlight takes 8-20 minutes to travel to Earth? We did this activity that was really similar to the Moon work. So basically we did the same thing. If you forgot or don’t know what we did with the Moon activity go have a look! Thank you for your time and patience. Have a look on my work!

Thanks! have a great day.

Reading comprehension!

Talofa Lava bloggers,

Yesterday room 9 did some research about the moon again. We got handed a piece of paper from our teacher Mrs Patel depending what reading group we were in. My buddy was Vienna :). We then started filling out the paper. After working on our paper work we started on our Google Slides where we had to write down all the questions we got asked on the piece of paper. Vienna and I finished our work in 2 days !! Thank you so much here are my slides.

Faafetai tele lava !!

The Moon!

Talofa Lava bloggers!

Today Webber class learned about the Moon. We learned about low tie and high tie. Do you know how low tie and high tie works? The moon is illuminating from the sun. And the moon orbits around the earth. Did you know that the Moon is made out of rock? We also learned about gravity pulling us down to earth. Not only gravity but the help of the core. The core is in the middle of earth, and is stuck.

The most tricky part of learning about Space was really trying to listen to all the key words.

The most part I enjoyed was putting all my ideas into my blog.

Fa’ Afetai lava !! Manuia le vaiaso o le gagana samoa !

Earth !!

Hello bloggers!

In week 4 Webber class were doing an activity about the Earth. We planned our work on a google doc and put all our work together on Story Board That. There was a lot of work just to embed our work onto our blogs :). So I hope you enjoy our work!

The hardest part was doing our work on story board.

I enjoy doing our work on story board as well 🙂

Thanks!

Bye hope you had fun!

Footprints.

Hello bloggers,

Today room 9 was learning about footprints. If you have no idea what a footprint is then I can explain. A footprint is when you stand on something wet and you keep walking it will leave a foot mark. Like water, paint, sand or mud. A footprint is a print of someones foot, like it was copied and pasted. We had to do this activity on our chromebooks where there was a map with footprints of sites from our history that was used recently. Here is my work.

Thank you for your time bye.

Gravity…

Talofa Lava Bloggers!

Today Webber class learned about gravity. Did you know Issac Newtons was the one that discovered gravity? We watched two videos from our class site about gravity. If you would like to see my work scroll down 🙂

Gravity:

Gravity is like a power that holds you down to earth. In space there’s no gravity thats why you float. Gravity basically glues you to the earth. If you jump you will go down. If you go skydiving the power of gravity will pull you down to earth. If gravity never existed you would float. Gravity will pull everything down to earth. Gravity is what keeps you on the ground and what makes things fall. Gravity also pulls things together. If it weren’t for gravity we would be floating right now. You won’t even be able to drink water or pour it into a cup.

Conclusion:

I learnt that if it weren’t for gravity we would be floating. I also learnt that gravity is only on earth.

Person who found out:

Gravity was discovered three hundred years ago by Issac Newton. He was sitting under an apple tree and was about to fall asleep, when suddenly an apple from above the tree fell on his head. He then discovered what gravity was and the meaning of gravity was.

Thank you so much for your time! I hope you enjoyed my work !!

The Milky Way galaxy :/ !

Hello everybody!

Yesterday Webber class learned about the Milky Way galaxy. We went on our class site, clicked on term 2, clicked week 2 and on the slide will be about the Milky Way! We also watched a video about all kinds of things in the Milky Way. Did you know the Milky way has over 2 billion stars? Once we were done finding the right page we had to choose between a slideshow, poster or a word document. I chose a poster. So when I got ready and seated I went straight onto Google Drive, clicked new, clicked more then went onto Google Drawings. I then named my poster and moved my work into the right folder by clicking on this folder symbol on the top left of your screen that has a little barrow in it. Then I started my work. I didn’t worry about the background that time so I just got started. We had to write 5 facts or more about the Milky Way, write down the questions our Teacher Mrs Patel asked us with the answer. Then we had a Q&A with Julianne Dalcanton. If you would like to see my poster scroll down.

What’s your favourite galaxy? My favourite galaxy is the Black Eye galaxy, why? have a look at my work! Hope you enjoyed my work. Thank you for your time!
